Privacy policy

Effective 2 November 2026

This policy explains how Stunt Studios Inc., a corporation based in Ontario, Canada (“Stunt Studios”, “we”, “us”), handles personal information on this website, stuntstudios.io, and in our games. We are responsible for the data described here. Today that means one game, Free Kick Duel.

The short version: this website sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising, and loads nothing from other companies. Free Kick Duel has no accounts of its own and never asks for your email or any contact detail; it keeps only pseudonymous gameplay records against a random player id. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.

This website

Hosting. The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc., in the United States, on servers around the world. When your browser asks for a page, it sends the technical details every web request carries: your IP address, your browser and device type, the page asked for and the time. Netlify uses them to deliver the page and to protect its service from abuse, and may keep them in its server logs for a short time, under Netlify’s privacy policy. We have not turned on any analytics, and we do not use this information to identify or follow visitors.

No cookies or tracking. The site sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and contains no analytics, advertising or social-media code. Its fonts and images are served from this site.

Links. Links to other services, such as game portals or stores, take you to sites with their own privacy policies. Free Kick Duel at play.stuntstudios.io is ours and is covered below.

When you email us

If you write to contact@stuntstudios.io, we receive your email address, the name your email shows and whatever you write. Mail to that address is forwarded by our domain provider, Porkbun, to the mailbox we use. We use your message only to answer it and to deal with what you asked, keep it only as long as that and our business records need, and then delete it.

Free Kick Duel

Free Kick Duel has no accounts of its own. We never ask for your email or any contact detail. The game generates a random player id on your device and stores only pseudonymous gameplay records against it: scores, match results, rating, coins and cosmetics. If you play on a game portal while signed in to your portal account, your portal username is shown as your name. We operate no advertising or tracking technology.

What we store on our server

The game talks to one small game server (the “relay”) that runs matches and keeps the leaderboards. It stores:

DataWhat it is
Player idA random identifier (for example a3f9…) generated by the game on your device. It is not derived from you or your hardware.
Claim tokenA second random secret generated on your device, used so nobody else can spend your coins or impersonate your id.
Portal account idOnly if you are signed in to CrazyGames: the opaque user id from CrazyGames’ signed login token, linked to your player id so your progress follows your account (see “On game portals”).
Display nameWhen you play on a game portal while signed in to your portal account, your portal username (up to 12 characters; see “On game portals”). Otherwise a playful name the game makes up for you, such as TurboKiwi42, which you can swap for another with the dice button; it is not derived from you. Players who picked a 3-letter tag (for example ABC) before 27 October 2026 keep it until they roll the dice. Shown on leaderboards and to opponents.
Gameplay recordsDaily-challenge scores, match results (winner and loser ids, score, forfeit flag, timestamps), weekly ladder standings, a skill rating, your coin balance, which cosmetic items you own and equip, and the date you first played (used only to count how many players come back).
Ad rewardsIf you choose to watch an optional video for coins: how many rewards paid out today and when the last one did, so the daily limit can be enforced. The video is shown by the portal; we learn only whether it finished.
Feature countersAnonymous daily tallies of how often game features are used (for example “tutorial completed” or “shop opened”). These are plain counts with no identifier of any kind attached, so they cannot be connected to you or your player id.
Error reportsIf the game hits a software error, it sends us the error message, where in the game’s code it happened, the game version and whether you are playing on a phone or a computer, so we can fix it. Like the feature counters, these carry no identifier of any kind, and identical reports from different players are merged into a single count. They are deleted after 30 days.

What we process but do not keep

Server logs

For troubleshooting, the server keeps a technical log of game events (matches, matchmaking, daily-challenge scores, shop purchases and the first occurrence of each error report) that names players by their display name. It holds no IP addresses. The log is capped at a few megabytes and rotates automatically, so older entries are overwritten as new ones arrive.

Display names

Display names are checked against a list of offensive words before they are stored or shown. A name that fails the check appears as AAA instead.

Why we use this data

We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except our hosting provider (below) and as the law requires.

Where it is stored

The game server runs in Germany, in a data centre of Hetzner Online GmbH, which hosts it for us and may not use the data for anything else. We run it from Canada, which the European Union recognises as giving personal data an adequate level of protection.

What stays on your device

Your browser’s local storage keeps the player id and claim token above, your display name, a tutorial-done flag, whether you have played today’s daily challenge, your footedness and sound settings, and up to five goal replays you chose to save. These are game state, not tracking: the game sets no cookies and loads no analytics or fingerprinting scripts. Clearing your browser’s site data removes them (see “Your rights”).

On CrazyGames, if you are signed in to a CrazyGames account, its Progress Save feature may keep a copy of this on-device game data with your account so your progress follows you to other devices. That copy is held by CrazyGames under its own privacy policy.

Backups and retention

The server keeps short-term rolling database backups (by default a snapshot every 6 hours, keeping the last 8, so roughly two days) so a crash doesn’t wipe the leaderboards. Gameplay records themselves are kept while the game operates so ladders and ratings work. Error reports are deleted after 30 days.

On game portals

When you play Free Kick Duel embedded on a portal such as CrazyGames or Poki, the portal is its own service with its own privacy policy. Anything it does (ads, portal accounts, analytics) is governed by its policy, not this one. From the portal, the game receives only:

CrazyGames accounts: when you are signed in to CrazyGames, the game also asks CrazyGames for a signed login token and sends it to our server. The server checks CrazyGames’ signature and keeps only the account’s user id, an opaque number, linked to your player id. That is how your coins, rating and cosmetics follow your account to other devices; a guest keeps playing on this device only. We never receive your email address, password or any other account detail, and the token itself is not stored.

Children

Neither this website nor our games ask anyone, including children, for personal information. Free Kick Duel has no chat and no user-generated content. The only names it shows are names the game makes up, 3-letter tags chosen before 27 October 2026, or usernames already chosen on a portal, all filtered to letters, digits and basic punctuation and checked against a list of offensive words.

Where your information goes

Stunt Studios is in Canada. This website is served by Netlify from the United States and from servers around the world, the Free Kick Duel server is in Germany, and email may pass through our providers’ servers in other countries. Wherever it is processed, we protect it as this policy describes, but it may be subject to the laws of those countries.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to stop using it, or to receive it in a portable format. Email us at contact@stuntstudios.io. For Free Kick Duel, include your display name and roughly when you played, so we can find the records tied to your player id. We answer within 30 days.
